Competing on the rodeo circuit for over 30 years has taught Dan Bohan a few things about business.
"When you compete in professional rodeo, you learn there are more important things in life than money." says Dan Bohan, President of WW Windows, "You have real pride in what you do and you give your best effort. This translates easily into the business part of my life because I know it's more important to do the right thing and stand behind your work and keep your customers happy. There's integrity and honor in that."
Dan started working in the construction business in 1995. In 2004, he opened his own business.
"So much of business today is based solely on the money... so many people tell you what you want to hear to make a sale... and I think that's bad business. We're going to tell you the truth even if it's not something you want to hear."
A family-run business, Dan's three daughters, a niece, and extended family are involved with roles from sales rep to general manager.
"With family it's finding the right mix of responsibility and duties; it takes a while to mesh but once it's there, there is a very strong organization with little turnover. The great thing is we are all vested in the future with the same ethics."
As Vice President of the company, Dan's wife Kathy works closely with Dan.
"Dan and I do pretty much all the measuring because it's our chance to meet our customers and see first-hand what the job is going to entail. It also gives us the opportunity to point out anything special to the installers." says Kathy, "It opens communication and gets everyone on the same page."
"And that's important to the company," adds Dan, "because it eliminates confusion and helps us spot anything that might cause an issue for the customer later. Anything we can handle before an installation makes our customer really happy, which makes us really happy... it's a "win-win" situation."
